If you have watched even a minute of news coverage in the past week you may have heard about the school shooting in Florida that claimed the lives of 17 people and injured many more. Tragedies like this are becoming too common across the USA. In Canada we see the government legalizing and monetizing the sale of marijuana across the country. Making the drug more accessible to our youth. And all across North America we see the institution of the family being eroded and rebranded and our children are being taught this new family in the public school systems. It is time for Christians to stand up and make their voices be heard.
One can assume the gun industry is a big business in the USA. Part of the US constitution mentions that every American had the right to bear arms. As a result just about anyone can purchase a firearm from the local gun shop if they have the money and pass the requirements. This is entirely too easy for anyone to purchase a gun legally. In other countries like Canada and Australia, there are much stricter laws around guns and even though there are still crimes committed where a gun is the weapon, the number of incidents are far lass than in the States. One can only assume that the reason the laws have not become more stricter is because of the amount of money that this brings in for the gun manufacturers. Because these manufacturers have the money, they also have the power with the policy makers and government officials that make the laws. There needs to be a change!!
In Canada, the Prime Minister and his political party have legalized the sale of marijuana. What this means that someone can go up to the corner store for some milk, bread and a dime bag. Marijuana shouldn’t bee so accessible to people. Again, because of the grey area around the dangerous effects of smoking marijuana, the government has decided to take advantage of this by bringing it out of the darkness and selling it legally. They would make a profit by selling if in their own retail locations (LCBO) and lady charge a tax on other distributors. The government will make a lot of money from this.
Furthermore, in Canada they are trying to pass legislation that will allow the school curriculum to teach about gender to our children in grade school in a way that can possible lead them to be confused if they are male or female… Totally ignoring how God made them. What’s worse about this is that if the parents teach the children according to what the bible teaches then the government can take away the children from the parents.
As Christians we need to SPEAK UP!!! We have a voice and we need to let our voice be heard with our votes. Before we elect anyone I to power we need to educate ourselves on the policies of the candidates and determine if there plans are in line with what God’s word says. We cannot allow people who are motivated by greed or an immoral agenda into power in outer cities, states/provinces, & countries. Our vote counts. Christians have been too passive about certain issues and we have allowed the world to push God out of the way and allowed the devil to come right in with his plans to steel kill and destroy our world. We need to rise up and make our voice herd with our votes. If all of us vote for the person that is in line with God’s word we can rest assume that Gods will will be accomplished.
We can’t be silent any longer. Our children are being killed. Our communities are being infiltrated with drugs and crime. And the structure of the family is being changed right before our eyes, to the point where a family can be many different combinations of people and animals.
Our world needs JESUS. And as his representative on earth he has entrusted us to make the difference. We need to pray, we need to educate ourselves. And we need to take action to make our voices be heard.
