If I did this episode would be about 100hrs long) but there is not a situation that the Bible doesn\u2019t cover. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.\u201d – <strong>Matthew<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>17:27<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It\u2019s amazing that when we have a financial need that God is able to provide us. Here we see that God provided the tax money but still Peter had to go out and get it. Likewise, if we have a financial need, God will provide for us but we have to be obedient to go out and get it. He wants us to be active in the process.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Elisha said, \u201cGo around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don\u2019t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.\u201d She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, \u201cBring me another one.\u201d But he replied, \u201cThere is not a jar left.\u201d Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, \u201cGo, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.\u201d –<strong> 2 Kings<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>4:3-7<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>There\u2019s a lot in these verses as well. We see the obedience of the Widow to follow Elisha\u2019s directions. The oil only ran out when there was no more jars to fill. With the oil they collected from their house, they were able to pay off all their debt and live off the rest. So they had more than enough already. Likewise when you have a financial need, go to God and let him direct you. You already have what you need in you but you just need to listen obediently you God to allow his prosperity to flow in your life.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Healing for yourself, friend or a family member <\/strong><\/p><p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p><em>\u201cSome men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. – <\/em><strong><em>Mark<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>2:3-4<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, \u201cIf I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.\u201d Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. – <\/em><strong><em>Mark<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>5:27-29<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>These two passages are so powerful to me because of a couple of reasons.<\/p><ol><li>From Mark 2, we see that it was the friends of this paralyzed person that wanted healing for their friend. The paralyzed friend didn\u2019t do or say anything. So we need to have friends like that around us everyday or be that friend to the people around us.<\/li><li>In Mark 5 we see that a woman was suffering with an issue of bleeding. I love reading this because it encourages us to push through dispute of the crowd or pain that we are feeling. We can clearly see when we read that there was a lot of people around Jesus and this woman had to push through. But we often forgot that because for here sickness, she was probably bleeding as she was pushing through the crowd. She put all that pain behind her to reach for her healing and we need to take this approach as well when we need a healing.<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Daily Protection<\/strong><\/p><p><em>A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, \u201cThe Lord is my refuge,\u201d and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. – <\/em><strong><em>Psalms<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>91:7-12<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>God covers his own with his faithfulness 24\/7 providing us with a shield of protection. Regardless of the dangers we may face everyday, this is the confidence that we have in God. That he protects us so that we will not suffer harm. Regardless what those around you may suffer, no harm will happen in your life.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Living Right<\/strong><\/p><p><em>No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. – <strong>1 Corinthians<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>9:27<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Only one passion in your life is worth your total commitment and pursuit. And that is loving and serving Christ. Don\u2019t disqualify yourself from receiving the prize by quitting the race or running in the wrong direction.
