Before you need a financial miracle
“It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. – Genesis 41:28-30
Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine.” – Genesis 41:34-36
God could’ve spoke at any time and caused grain to grow and the famine would be over. Because God is God and can do anything. But instead he told Joseph that Egypt would have to store up to survive the famine. If they did not then the entire country would starve. The planning of resources here speaks to having a financial budget for yourself and planning for your future. If you neglect to do this, then you might end up in a situation where you NEED a financial miracle. Do you have a budget and follow it? Are you preparing for your future?
Walking in divine Health
Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days. At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead. – Daniel 1:11-16
This is a hard one for me and might be for you also. It’s really hard to eat healthy but if we want to avoid health issues then we need to discipline ourselves and be mindful of the food we eat. In this passage we see that it took 10 days for these 4 Hebrew boys to stand out from the rest because they ate a different diet. The principle here that we can follow is simple yet difficult. We need to eat healthy. We need to pull back or cut out I’m completely all the sugars, fried and fatty food that we are eating and try to eat more fresh life giving foods. The health benefits are there and it can potentially save you from health issues later on in life like diabetes, hearth and kidney problems and obesity just to name a few. Exercising and making some practical healthy changes to your diet now can save you from crying out to God for healing miracle later.
Children that need to be saved
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. – Deuteronomy 6:6-9
I often hear people with Prayer requests for their kids to receive salvation. God hears all of those prayer request and I stand in agreement now with you that the seed of the righteous shall be delivered as it’s said in proverbs 11:21. There was a lot of work beforehand that should’ve taken place. If parents do what Deut 6:6-9 says to do there would be more kids and teens that would be walking with Christ, or at least have a strong Christian world view. The practical application of this passage is to use every situation to teach a godly principle to your children. Doing this will shape them in knowing who God is from an early age and that will remain with them through the teen years into their adult life.
You will be promoted by being a better worker than your colleagues
Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell prostrate before Daniel and paid him honor and ordered that an offering and incense be presented to him. The king said to Daniel, “Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.” Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men. – Daniel 2:46-48
In this passage, the King was going to put all the wise men to death since they couldn’t interpret the kings dream. Actually, they tried to trick the king into telling them what the dream was to make their job easier. They all knew that Daniel was the wisest, worst man of them all. And because Daniel served the true and living God, he had the advantage of hearing from God to interpret the dream. And the king promoted Daniel over all the wise men in Babylon and even made him ruler over a region in Babylon. For us we can pray and confess all the scriptures we want for promotion. Unless we are actually good employees, we won’t get the promotion. We need to put the time and effort into our jobs and bring results for our company. Only them when the time is right that God will cause promotion to come to you.
