We need to be led by Holy Spirit

In this time your spiritual maturity is extremely important. Part of being spiritually mature is being filled with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth, guide you through tough decisions and remind you of what you have learned. People who are claiming to be Christians are using the bible and saying things like “taking a vaccine you are accepting the mark of beast”. and “that the Covid 19 virus is a conspiracy or not real.” That governments are working together to fool the people into something. I’m not going to tell you what to do regarding taking a vaccine, but let’s look at how the Holy Spirit can help us to discern the truth.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. – John 16:13-14

The Holy Spirit will bear witness to what your are hearing and confirm that it is true. But for this to happen you have to be filled with the spirit of God. If you have the spirit of the world in you then you will think that worldly things are right and it will be easy to believe the lies of the enemy. Remember the devil will tell you a lie that has an element of truth in it. These are the most deceptive lies. But it will have enough false information that will cause you to make a wrong decision.

I’m going to read Genesis 3:1-4 as an example of this when Eve was tempted by satan.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” – Genesis 3:1-5 NIV

So satan took what God said twisted it and introduced some doubt into the conversation to cause Eve to second guess what God said. And we know how the rest of that goes.

We need to Test the Spirits

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. – 1 John 4:1-3 NIV

The motives of the heart are unknown by man and only God knows. People can be very persuasive and emotional about something in order to win people over to believe their point of view. This is why we need to fellowship with Holy Spirit so that we can get to know how He guides us. The more time you spend with Holy Spirit the better you will recognize his voice and be able to discern false teachings. If you are spending most of your days listening to worldly hip hop and rap music. Watching movies and TV with violence, swearing and worldly situations then your spirit will be contaminated and it will be extremely difficult to hear Holy Spirits guidance.

Some deceivers may even come in the name of Jesus. So we need to know the Bible for ourselves and know how to discern truth and lies. Today everyone has a platform thanks to Social media (even me) but not everyone is speaking truth or ensuring that they are delivering a message that is complete and in line with scripture. I encourage you to take everything I say and study it out for yourself to make sure that I am not leading people astray. I know that I am not but you need get in the habit of studying scripture for yourself and not just accepting what is said to you by someone. I take time to study everything that I say here because it says in James 3:1 ”that those who teach will be judged more strictly.” And I’ll have to give an account and be judged for everything that I say on this podcast. And I don’t want to be judged and found guilty of leading people astray by God.

2 Corinthians 11:12-14 goes on to say this:

And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:12-14 NIV

You can read chapter 11:1-15 in its full context but in your day to day lives, be on the look out for people acting like they are angles of light but are deceitful workers of evil.

The Holy Spirit will confirm Truth with Scripture

There are some people showing up that are preaching that the vaccine is the devils work to cause us to lose our connection with God. But I would like to bring forward what the Bible says.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? – Romans 8:35

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39 NIV

So NOTHING shall separate us from the love of God and I am convinced of this.

Some Christians also believe that the vaccine is the mark of the beast. That the government is using this to implant a chip inside of us that will enable us to buy and sell. This is totally not relevant because of the timelines outlined in scripture. To find this out we have to go to the book of Revelations. There are some key events that need to happen.

The Rapture of believers.

The church being raptured is the first notable thing that will happen. This occurs in Revelations 4:1-2 when John was immediately before the throne in Heaven. The suddenness of this act shows how the transition will be for those who are believers in Christ when we are raptured into heaven.

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. – Revelation 4:1-2 NIV

And after this happens, the people who will remain on earth would be the non-believers. Christians will not have to go through anything else mentioned in Revelations 6-18.

The Tribulations

The Tribulations and Judgment takes place in Revelations Chapter 6 – 18 but the point that is clear once you study this out is that the church. True believers in Christ are not on the earth. They have been taken to heaven back in chapter 4. So all of the tribulations and judgement that is explained in these chapters are for those who choose not to trust Christ for their salvation before the rapture.

The mark of the beast

Now with all that said, the mark of the beast is mentioned in Revelations 13:16-17. It is an event that will happen but has not happened yet since Christ has not made his 2nd return to rapture the church. So it is impossible for someone to be receiving the mark of the beast by taking the covid vaccine. Furthermore, as you read that chapter you can see that people have a choice to accept the mark or you can’t buy or sell. So there is still some control that the individual will have during that time. But I want to stress that Christians will not have to deal with any of this.

These are the Last days. So get ready!

Though the end has not come yet, it is clear that the beginning of the end is NOW. I can say this with confidence because there are so many scriptures with prophetic implications that are being confirmed today. Here are some examples.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. – 2 Timothy 3:1-5

As we look at some of the characteristics outlined in these verses, we can clearly see that they are escalating in society today. Times are becoming very difficult for so many people in so many areas of life today. We can see through social media that people trying to exult themselves and loving themselves more than they love God. Accumulating money for selfish purposes is all that matters to most people. Arrogance, abusive situations, and disobedience is increasing in all areas of society. These are all things that we will see in the last days mentioned here and it is increasing today.

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. – 1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV

A person who has a pure conscious guided by the Holy Spirit can discern right from wrong, but in the last days there will be teachers of the word that will spread lies and twist the scriptures to fit their own agenda. We are seeing this right now with some of the false teachings out there concerning this subject.

Now I’m not encouraging or discouraging you to take a vaccine. That’s your personal decision, but I’ve heard people teaching from the Bible using 1 Corinthians 6:19 to support not taking the vaccine.

It says:

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; – 1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV

In proper context this verse is talking about sexual immorality and it’s spiritual impact on you when you commit sexual sins. Furthermore if someone was worried about caring for their body and treating it as the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit then they would be careful about what they watch, listen to, so that they keep the soul pure. They would also watch what they eat and make sure to exercise to keep your body healthy. With this point I say watch out for false teachers that twist scripture to fit their own agenda.
