The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. – Genesis 12:1

Notice in this verse that God didn’t tell Abraham where he was taking him.  When we are walking with God, it always requires faith.  He will say to you come, and you have to have the courage to step out and follow His leading regarding buying a house.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight – Proverbs 3:5-6

Leaning has the sense of putting your whole weight on something.  This verse is saying for us to put all of our trust on God and not base our decision on buying a house on our own experiences.  God knows what’s best for us even better than we know for ourselves. 

My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. – Isaiah 32:18

This is a verse that you can pray as you search for your next home to purchase.  Pray that the area will be peaceful, where you will be secure and find rest.

The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. – Deuteronomy 28:8 ESV

This is one of the old covenant blessings that God gave if the people if they obeyed God.  Since we are living under the new covenant, the fulfillment of this requirement is met in Jesus.  As long as we are in Christ, we have the blessing on our land and on the work that we do to support our lives.  Because of this blessing, you will get the finances that you need to purchase your land or home.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. – Psalm 127:1

This verse speaks is talking about the importance of having God in your family daily lives.  If you fail to have God in your family, your activities are futile against the schemes and deceptions of the enemy.  The same is true when you are searching for a home to purchase.  Invite God into your process of buying a home.

So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.  Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. – Deuteronomy 5:32-33

The hope is that you will be able to purchase your lands or home and keep it for a long time.  Your prayer is that your land will increase in value causing you to prosper financially.

So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant. – Joshua 24:13
