Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. – Luke 12:6-7 ESV
Our true value is based on what God says about us. Other people evaluate and categorize us according to how we perform , what we achieve, and how we look, But God cares for us as he does for all his children, because we belong to Him. So because of this we can face the world without fear.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. – Isaiah 49:15 ESV
The people of Israel felt that God had forsaken them in Babylon, but Isaiah pointed out that God would never forget them, as a loving mother would not forget her little child. When we feel that God has forsaken us, we must ask ourselves if we have forsaken God through sin.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. – Psalms 23:4
God met David’s emotional needs, He provides comfort with his rod and staff. The rod was used by the shepherd to beat off wild animals that try to attack the sheep and the staff was used to guide the sheep and pull them away from harm. When life takes you through the darkest valley, receive comfort in knowing that your divine shepherd has power in one hand and grace in the other.
The one thing I ask of the Lord the thing I seek most is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. – Psalms 27:4-5
David was confident that when the day of trouble came, that God would conceal him from harm. He was assured in his spirit that God would hide him and place Him in a place where the trouble couldn’t reach him.
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. – Psalms 139:7-10
God is omnipresent, he is everywhere. Because this is so, we can never be lost from His spirit. This is good news to those who know and love God, because no matter what we do or where we go, we can never be far from God’s comforting presence.
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” – Psalms 91:14-16
This is a promise from God, When we love God we can be assured that he will rescue us. When we trust His name, we are secured in his protection. When we acknowledge Him as our help, we can be confident that He will answer us in trouble. Remember this verse in your heart so at a moment’s notice you can pray it when you need to.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
Hoping in the Lord Is expecting that his promise of strength will help us to rise above life’s distractions and difficulties. It also means trusting in God. Trusting helps us to be prepared when he speaks to us. Then we will be patient when he asks us to wait and expect him to fulfill the promise found in his word.
