This is a very challenging time that we are facing now but God will cause a blessing over his people and your businesses. There are key verses found in the bible that you can pray and put in your heart so that your business can prosper regardless of the famine that is in the land. Today we are going to talk about what the bible says about business success.

“Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” (AMP) – Proverbs 22:29
If you manage your business diligently and with skill, this scripture promises that you will stand in the in front of influential people that can show great favour to you and your business. So be diligent and do your best as you work at your business and pray this verse.
“Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” (NIV) – Proverbs 10:4
The reward for laziness is time wasted… When you are diligent in what you do, you will see God will cause wealth to come into your business.
Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel? – Zechariah 4:10
In the beginning your business may be small. Do not despise these small beginnings. It is in the small beginnings that the character to sustain you is built on. It’s only when you start the work that momentum will start to move in your favour… But you have to start.
Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. – Proverbs 29:18
It is extremely important for your business to have a clear vision. This is so you will be able to make wise decisions that will take your business to the next level. If you don’t have a vision, you may make decisions that may not support the main product or service that you provide. The second part of this verse says to heed to wisdom’s instruction. You should have some business advisors or mentors in for your business.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (NIV) – Psalm 127:1
Pray earnestly that the business you start is what God wants you to do. If not, then you are just wasting your time. You may make money, but ultimately, you will be unfulfilled and miss the purpose of God for your life.
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit, as surely as haste leads to poverty.” – Proverbs 21:5
You will prosper when you build your business on a sure foundation and build it properly and diligently.
If you rush to get rich or make money you may overlook key activities that may come back to cause problems in the future.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. – Philippians 4:6
Always keep your business before God in prayer. Don’t get anxious to grow or expand and go ahead of Gods plan. Always give thanks to God for where your business is right now.
“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. – Exodus 20:8-10
In today’s society, it’s easy to forget that God requires the one day out of the week to be devoted on to him. It’s important to your business that you keep this day holy and do no work on that day. I can testify that the blessing that will follow you for walking according to this is great.
This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. – Ecclesiastes 5:18
We are only on earth for a short time compared to eternity. We should enjoy our business every day that we put our hands to work. Not enjoying our work is almost like a waste of time.
Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. – Luke 16:10
This is a question for you to think about… How do you manage $1,000? Your answer to that question will be the save when you manage $100,000,000. Usually God will test you to see that you are a good steward of the money that your business will bring in so be faithful with little… pass the test and more will be given to you.
