Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving today. I have a lot to be thankful for. When we really sit back and thing about all that God has done in our lives we can say that we are truly blessed. As you read the items below, let me know which ones you can relate to?
I’m thankful that I have life
I can breath and move. Another day that I have on this earth is another day God has given me to help advance His purpose on the earth.
I’m thankful for Gods Grace.
I don’t deserve what I have in my life today, but it’s all by His Grace why I am who I am.
I’m thankful for my health
Not only am I alive but I can move. My five senses are all functioning. I’m not paralyzed or on life support in the hospital. But if anyone reading this is in that situation, the. You have to thank God that you are alive and are still part of His purpose for this world.
I’m thankful that I live in safety
there are countries where people can’t sleep at night without the sound of bombs dropping or gun fire going off. I’m glad Canada is not a country at war and that we are relatively safe. (One of the items on my prayer list is the problem of youth violence. It has to stop!)
I’m thankful that I have a roof over my head
there are a lot of people who are homeless, live in shelters, or just crash on their friends sofas overnight and have nowhere to call their own. I don’t take my home for granted. I’m really thank God for the roof over my head.
I’m thankful for family & friends
This world can be a lonely place when you don’t have anyone you can talk to. If you have family or even one close friend, consider yourself blessed.
I’m thankful for Jesus and my relationship with God
The best decision that I have ever made was to give my life to Christ. Accepting his love and gaining this relationship with God through Jesus is the best thing that I could ever ask for. Not only can I live in the peace that Jesus brings while I am on earth, He also promised to make a place for me in heaven and I’m going to live it when I get there. There are so much benefits that come into your life when you follow Jesus.
All the other material possessions and things that someone can aquire during life are great also. I’m thankful for those things but they can come and go so fast that it’s not even worth calling out individually.
